As COVID-19 continues to sweep across the world, the social justice issues of Black and brown communities become further exposed and protested. While the root of these protests go from issues such as police brutality, the prison system, and colorism in our communities, they are also followed by communities that continue to struggle with overcrowded immigration detention centers, a battle with DACA recipients, and disproportionate cases of COVID-19 itself. Join the James Farmer Multicultural Center, the Black Student Association, UMW NAACP, Data Mavens, and the Latino Student Association for discussions on relevant and encapsulating topics on immigration and the struggle for equality and liberation.
