The Center for Student Transition, Access, & Retention Services (STARS) invites you to join us in celebrating our incredible first-generation students at the First-Generation Cultural Celebration and Alpha Alpha Alpha (Tri-Alpha) Induction Ceremony on Friday, April 4th, at 6:00 PM in George Washington Hall, Dodd Auditorium.

This special evening will honor the perseverance and achievements of our first-generation students who are graduating in spring 2025 and will feature the first induction of eligible UMW students into Tri-Alpha, the national honor society recognizing academic excellence among first-generation college students.

This event is open to the entire campus community to celebrate the hard work of these students who are setting a new legacy for their families. A reception will follow the ceremony.
