Register for the online FAFSA and Financial Aid Process Webinar on March 13, 2024 from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM. During the webinar, Financial Aid staff will offer tips on how you can be proactive in completing the FAFSA and share the latest details about the awarding timeline.

On January 30, the U.S. Department of Education informed colleges and universities that FAFSA information critical to creating need-based financial aid packages for prospective students would be delayed until the middle of March. UMW’s goal is to provide an accurate award package as efficiently as possible. With this additional delay, we now anticipate sending need-based awards in mid-April.

For additional questions and resources related to the financial aid process, review our list of Frequently Asked Questions. We will add and update questions with the latest information, including for example, “How and/or when will I be able to make corrections to the FAFSA?” As we learn details and helpful tips about the new FAFSA or process, we will be sure to share them with you. If you have specific questions not covered in the FAQ, reach out to your admissions counselor or the Office of Financial Aid.
