Please join us for opening night of Intersection and Take a Painting with UMW Galleries.  These exhibitions will go on from September 4 to October 10, 2025. 

Intersection: This traveling exhibition of two Virginia-based artists brings together the process-oriented abstract paintings of David Carlson and the geometric mixed-media sculptures of Chee Kung, resulting in a dialogue that speaks to movement, memory, and space.

Take a Painting: Pennsylvania artist Erika Stearly invites visitors to make a painting in exchange for one of the small paintings on the wall. This community-driven creative project will be constantly changing over the course of the show as paintings are removed and replaced along the gallery walls.
