An open house and community workshop will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 20, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., in the Cedric Rucker University Center's Chandler Ballroom to discuss a Small Area Plan for the City of Fredericksburg's Area 5, which includes the University of Mary Washington campus. The meeting will start with a brief presentation to introduce the planning process, project team and meeting purpose. Attendees will have the opportunity to express concerns and ideas for improvement. The Sept. 20 event will be the first of three public meetings to develop a plan for the area.
