Amadeus by Peter Shaffer
Professional jealousy and personal crisis drive composer Antonio Salieri to turn from God towards one clear, dark, and menacing goal: destroying the brash young newcomer, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. A highly fictionalized account of Mozart’s final years and Salieri’s jealous pursuit to ruin one of the greatest musical geniuses of all time, Amadeus is equal parts psychological thriller, insightful biography, and morality tale.
